Your planning session with Rev. Lyon

At the beginning of the planning process, I would prefer to meet with you in person so that we can discuss the type of ceremony you would like. At this meeting, which lasts about an hour or so, we can get acquainted. The meeting will give you an opportunity to get acquainted with me and to learn about the the different options you can include in your ceremony. During this time you can share with me how you envision your ceremony and I can advise you on the best ways of putting it all together. The time we spend together will help you make your wedding an unforgettable celebration.

Our meeting can take place at a local restaurant over a cup of coffee, at the wedding site, or at my church. Consider it a casual meeting. Wear comfortable clothes, you don't have to get dressed up. We can talk about the basics of your marriage ceremony and talk about how your ceremony can be created using my website. Using my site, you will be able to go through all the selections, pick the parts you like, and disregard the parts you do not like. This process will allow you to create a wedding ceremony that is composed around your ideas, personalities, and lifestyles. I will help you design a personalized and inspirational ceremony. We can work together to make your wedding fresh and meaningful, and your vows truly unique! I will bring my creativity and experience to your wedding and help you in creating a joyful atmosphere.

During our meeting, I will not try to change your religious or philosophical convictions, nor will I impose a rigid format for your ceremony that changes the expression of who you are. Your ceremony will express your feelings about marriage through the words and events of your choosing.

After our meeting, you will have time to go over all the options on my site and then pick your ceremony selections and send them back to me. This process allows you to come up with the wedding of your choice. I will then put together your own unique ceremony and email it to you. When we are done with the total process, you will have your own custom ceremony, just the way you want it to be.

If meeting in person is not immediately possible because of distance, we can talk by phone and work through email. We can work together to create a unique personalized ceremony that will reflect your love, beliefs, and values.
